摘要:
Development of useful, practical, and selective synthetic methods that generate minimal by-product is of critical importance in both academic and industrial research. The research of our group seeks to develop practical and sustainable catalysis for environmentally benign chemical synthesis. In specific, we have explored Ru-catalyzed C–N formation reactions from primary alcohols and various N-sources, chemical synthesis using CO2and methanol as sustainable C1 sources, development of molecular catalysts to unconventionally activate commodity chemicals such as hydrocarbons, enones, and isocyanides, and challenging C–H functionalization reactions of simple non-directed sp2C–H arenes and sp3C–H hydrocarbons. The developments were achieved based on in-depth mechanistic investigation, rational design of catalysts, and synthetic strategy development. Our previous, current and future directions on the development of catalysis for sustainable chemical synthesis will be presented.
